Two days ago, on June 24, Kunle Ayoola became a father!!! The proud dad shared images of his absolutely adorable daughter, Seven Ayoola, via Twitter. The proud father shares the joy of being a parent with his wife, Abimbola, who he married in October.
On why they decided to name her “Seven”, Kunle stated that, “Seven: perfection, completion, rest.” He also stated, “As I held her in my hands, the song that came to my head was Black Street’s “Joy”. [The] song is still in my head, “She’s bringing me joy.”"
Kunle is half of the Nigerian Christian rap/rock sensation that is the Rooftop MCs. The Rooftop MCs totally revolutionized Christian/gospel music in Nigeria; they are bona fide game changers. Late last year, I had the honor of interviewing the other half of the Rooftop MCs, Olaitan “So Kleva” Hughes who spoke about what it means to be a great father and husband and how important it is to leave a legacy.
